We are conveners and advocates. We identify resources, build relationships, and share opportunities for communities across our region.
Our mission is clear: to convene partners, advocate for best practices, and secure resources to activate regional initiatives that improve the quality of life for every citizen in the MidSouth.
Guided by accountability to our members and partners, we serve as At the MidSouth Development District (MDD), we believe that collaboration is the foundation for progress. As conveners and advocates, we bring together partners across six counties and 32 municipalities in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas to identify resources, share opportunities, and build the relationships that make regional growth possible. We work closely with mayors and community leaders to activate initiatives that strengthen housing, transportation, infrastructure, and economic development.
We are the regional resource for advancing federal economic development initiatives and as a hub where civic leaders can connect, collaborate, and mobilize for action.
By building One Regional Team, we are not just responding to today’s challenges—we are laying the groundwork for a stronger, more connected, and more resilient MidSouth.
Where We Work
Our members are the six counties and 38 municipalities that make up the MidSouth region. We work across three states:
